HD may be the new standard, but that shouldn’t hinder creative visual styles and effects. As cool as Nintendo games would be amazing in HD. But where is the originality in following a trend?

HD is the new standard, it improves the experience by a lot and to be honest once u go the hd way it sucks to have a game with bad graphics. xbox and ps3 have all types of games just that masses chose shooters and sports games over others. i know lots of wii frnds tht hated fps n stuff then they played it n loved it. and u do realize ds sold more than psp because of the little kids getting their parents to buy it right??
@sonicnator its all there dude, just that fps are so popular it seeems like its the only games. there is platformers usch as braid, limbo, rayman n a lot more and these are all available online for less than 20 bucks, hence why i refuse to pay 50 bucks for a platformer on wii. there adventure n rpg games you just have to know where to look. there is more unique indie games on xbox and ps3 than wii(indie games). Btw, I never said I accpeted the dual analog. I said it looks intresting, but I have no intention to buy it anytime soon.

I didn’t get Wii for shooters. I got it because I thought it was fun. And turns out, it has a better balance of gaming genres.
I’m not saying games can’t have HD, but if it comes to the point where it domintates other aspects of a game, then we have problem. continued……..
@noobtubingpirate: Yeah I know. I accept that Wii is inferior hardware wise to the 360 and PS3. However thats not enough to stop me from playing it. I’ve enjoyed my Wii experience for about 5 years now. Case in point, hi tech specs ain’t enough for me.

@noobtubingpirate: Actually compared to some people, I’m from the semi-new gen.(N64/PS1 era) I just appreciate a good game when I see it no matter how old it is. Gaming standards have changed drastically over the last 10-20+ years. Back then it was just about taking a challenge and having fun. Nowadays if a game doesn’t have HD or is another FPS or sports game, its automatically shit! The maturity level and expectation of gamers are quite poor to be honest. cont……
@sonicnator and yea ps3 is superior than xbox. matter of fact i always wanted a ps3 but got a 360 instead which i m happy with too. i would be missing out on l4D which to me is one of best games ever so i m glad i did. i was trying to say wii is worst of the three consoles

@sonicnator thing is your probably a older generation gamer and are from times where nintendo used to make new ips not just sequels and remakes. to me who entered gaming generation,i could care less about ho great starfox was in past or kirby or donkey kong. gaming standards have gotten a lot higher in last decade. family friendly console? you mean for grandmas, and soccer moms right? because nintendo ditched its org crowd and a lot of the crowd ditched them.but y accpet the dual analog happily?
